Fellowship in Oslo (Non-fiction literature)
NORLA has the pleasure of inviting foreign publishers and editors of non-ficiton literature to apply for our fellowship program, which this year will take place in Oslo from June 16 – 19.
For the first time NORLA will take part in the international book fair in Shanghai, which in its entirety is dedicated to literature for children and young people. Magikon forlag will also take part and we are looking forward to meeting contacts both new and old at the joint Nordic stand H2 C21!
We also look forward to take part in the launch of the Chinese edition of award-winning children’s book Brune (Brown), along with the author Håkon Øvreås and illustrator Øyvind Torseter. Read more about the book and the wave of Norwegian books being published in Chinese here.

NORLA administrates the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ scheme for travel grants for authors and lecturers who will visit institutions of higher learning abroad where instruction is given in the Norwegian language.
Publishers, agents and translators abroad and in Norway can apply to NORLA for subsidies for sample translations.
