Fellowship in Oslo (Non-fiction literature)
NORLA has the pleasure of inviting foreign publishers and editors of non-ficiton literature to apply for our fellowship program, which this year will take place in Oslo from June 16 – 19.
NORLA and the Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo will be holding a book trade meeting on Tuesday 14 February.
Here, Japanese editors and scouts will be able to meet Norwegian authors and literary agents, and the Norwegian participants will get the chance to become better acquainted with the Japanese publishing industry.

The translator Chiharu Sawaki will give an introduction to Norwegian children’s and young adult literature, and Andrine Pollen from NORLA will present information about the Norwegian publishing industry.

NORLA administrates the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ scheme for travel grants for authors and lecturers who will visit institutions of higher learning abroad where instruction is given in the Norwegian language.
Publishers, agents and translators abroad and in Norway can apply to NORLA for subsidies for sample translations.
