Fellowship in Oslo (Non-fiction literature)
NORLA has the pleasure of inviting foreign publishers and editors of non-ficiton literature to apply for our fellowship program, which this year will take place in Oslo from June 16 – 19.
NORLA wishes to contribute to the recruitment of more translators of Norwegian literature. We invite interested candidates to apply for a seminar for new translators, to be held in Oslo from 22–25 April 2026.

The seminar is held in connection with the annual Fosse Prize for Translators of Norwegian Literature. The prize was awarded for the first time last year and was established by the Norwegian government when Jon Fosse was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2023.

NORLA administrates the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ scheme for travel grants for authors and lecturers who will visit institutions of higher learning abroad where instruction is given in the Norwegian language.
Publishers, agents and translators abroad and in Norway can apply to NORLA for subsidies for sample translations.
