Fellowship in Oslo (Non-fiction literature)
NORLA has the pleasure of inviting foreign publishers and editors of non-ficiton literature to apply for our fellowship program, which this year will take place in Oslo from June 16 – 19.
Lars. Fr. Svendsen and Vigdis Hjorth will take part in the Arsenal book fair in Kiev, Ukraine 20−21 April to promote the Ukrainian translations of Jørgen + Anne er sant (Totally True Love) and Frihetens filosofi, (The Philosophy of Freedom), respectively. The Norwegian embassy in Kiev and NORLA are responsible for the event, in collaboration with the book fair. Dina Roll-Hansen will take part from NORLA.
Vigdis Hjorth’s Jørgen + Anne er sant (Totally True Love) has been translated by Natalia Ivanychuk and published by Vydavnytstvo Staroho Leva through a translation subsidy from NORLA.

Lars Fr. H. Svendsen’s Frihetens filosofi (The Philosophy of Freedom) is translated by Sofiya Volkovetska and published by Calvaria Publishing House Foundation through a translation subsidy from NORLA.

NORLA administrates the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ scheme for travel grants for authors and lecturers who will visit institutions of higher learning abroad where instruction is given in the Norwegian language.
Publishers, agents and translators abroad and in Norway can apply to NORLA for subsidies for sample translations.
